Instructions for Sellers

MEPSI Circuit Sales

Overview

Selling through the Society circuit service entails three simple steps:

  1. Obtain circuit book pages.
  2. Mount, annotate and price your material
  3. Mail your material to the Circuit Sales Administrator

Step 1: Obtain Circuit Book Pages

Download Circuit Book Pages:

Please print on light-colored (non-white) paper

Download the Circuit Book Pages

This .PDF file should be printed on light-colored 8 1/2" x 11" sheet in landscape format. It contains ten numbered pages, with sixty numbered spaces for mounting stamps. It is important to use colored paper so perforations and margins will appear clearer.

Cutting the pages down the center is optional. The pages should not be bound into a "book" form; keeping the pages loose leaf will ease scanning by the Circuit Sales Administrator.

Step 2: Mount, Annotate, and Price your Material

The Circuit Sales Administrator will not annotate, describe, price, or arrange your material. Your material will be scanned and presented as received. Some guidelines and tips follow below but, in general, try to make things easy for prospective buyers. They should be able to: see your material, request it from the Circuit Sales Administrator by identifying a space number, and clearly read the catalog number, your price, and any associated notes.

Mounting

Tips:

Annotating

The minimum annotation per stamp is a catalog number (please specify the catalog used if not Scott) and your price (the "net" price). The stamp sheets also contain a space for the catalog price. Entering a catalog price is not mandatory, but it is useful.

Pricing

Price your material realistically. You cannot expect to sell anything if your assigned prices are above or near the top of current market prices for similar material. If you do not want to sell your material, do not take the trouble to submit it.

When you have a prepared a set of circuit pages for sale, please notify me at mepsicircuit@gmail.com by e-mail prior to shipping. If you do not have the mailing address, I will send it to you at that time. Your notification will also allow me to expect your shipment. You will be notified promptly in return when your material has arrived.

MEPSI accepts no responsibility for sales books until they are initially received from the owner for entry into the Circuit Sales Department. Please note that while your material is insured while in the possession of the department, it is not insured during transit, and MEPSI is not responsible for mailing losses. You should send your material to the Circuit Sales Administrator using a mailing method commensurate with the risk of loss.

Upon return of your unsold material, you will be asked to specify the mailing method, and the cost will be deducted from your sale proceeds.

Please do not submit selections with a total net value of less than $50 per ten pages.

Step 3: Mail your material to the Circuit Sales Administrator

When you are ready to send in your Circuit Book(s), please email the Circuit Sales Administrator to request his mailing address.
